Case Specifications

The GTIN file information that is sent to your customers includes information about the physical case (dimensions, gross weight, net weight) and information about the pallet construction (number of boxes per layer, number of layers per pallet).

This case specification file is designed to speed up the process of entering that information. For example, if you have 20 items that all use the same case with the same weight, you can define the case information once in this file and then apply it to the appropriate GTIN numbers.

You can set up a spec for each size of container you use, as well as any variations in weight. For example, the dimensions of two different product cases may be the same, but the weight may be different; therefore, you would enter two separate specs.

To use the case specification file, you must set up the specs before entering the GTIN numbers.

Go to Case Labeling > Setup > Case Specifications.
