Payroll Check Pickup List

You may need to keep track of the payroll checks picked up by your employees. The Payroll Check Pickup List does that for you. From this window, you can add checks to the list, print the list, and mark checks as picked up.

Find this feature at Payroll > Checks > Payroll Check Pickup List.

Starting Date / Ending Date

The list displays checks within the range entered here. Enter a starting and ending date or leave blank to see every check on the list.

Not Picked Up / Picked Up

This selection determines which checks the list displays; checks that are Not Picked Up or checks that are Picked Up.

Check #

This column displays the Check # for each check.     

Check Date

This column displays the check issued date.

Account #

This column displays the account # of the employee who the check is for.

Employee Name

This column displays the name of the employee who the check is for.

Active

Select this checkbox if the employee is active; deselect it if the employee is inactive.

Crew ID

This column displays the employee’s crew.

Pickup Date

This column is editable. Enter the pickup date for this check.

Notes

This column is also editable. Enter any notes for the check. These notes can also be added when adding a check using the “Add Check” function.

Add Check

Click this button to add a check to the list. This button will be the first place you go when entering a new check, discussed later on.

Remove Check

Click this button to remove the highlighted check from the list.

Customize List

Use this button to access the customization window. On this window, edit the title, margins and orientation for the list.

Preview List

This button displays a copy of the list on screen. It is printable from this window as well.

Print Setup

Use this window to set the default printer and other print options.

Print List

Clicking this button will print the list to the default printer.

 

Adding Checks to the Pickup List

For this list to be of use, you must first add checks to the list. These checks will be payroll checks that are already in the system and printed.

  1. Click Add Check in the bottom left-hand corner of the window, as seen in the following screenshot.

Clicking on this button will open the Add Check window, as seen below.

  1. Enter the check number in the first box. Press [F4] or click the lookup button to access the check lookup list. The employee’s name, check date, gross wages, and crew ID display automatically.

  2. Add any notes needed and click Add to List. The check now appears as a line item on the pickup list.
